Almost one whole month in Philippines.More than 3 months since I started my mission.....yeah, I would say it's been journey. I'm conforming to the ways of the Filipino. When I first came here, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. This mission has been all about "change." In every single aspect and meaning of it. A change in my surroundings, a change in the people that I meet, a change in country, a change in culture, and more importantly- a change in myself and the people I've been called to serve.
This past week has been just wonderful. My companion, Elder Nance, and I received an addition to our companionship. His name's Elder Najorda. He's a native Filipino who's from Baguio- a different province here in the Philippines. I have to say,"I'm extremely grateful he joined us." Just last Monday, while my companion and I we're eating at MacDonald's, after spending the afternoon at Lake Taal, we received a call from an A.P, Elder Eyre. He told us to us to get our apartment ready, we're getting a new missionary.
It came as a surprise, but I feel like it's been a good one. Elder Najorda is an awesome missionary and he's been a blessing to our companionship. I've never known someone with so much humility and who is so eager to serve the people around him. I've learned so much from his example. He'll only be with us until next transfer day, which is next Thursday on March 1. I'm glad I have the opportunity to serve along his side.
